Dr. Robert Snow is a board-certified general and bariatric surgeon with 20+ years of experience in bariatric and endobariatric surgery. As an early adopter of endobariatric procedures such as ESG in the United States, he has played a key role in the development and implementation of many of today’s leading techniques. He has established several bariatric programs across the country and has helped thousands of patients on their journey to better health by focusing on their individual needs.
Dr. Snow is passionate about helping patients build a balanced relationship with food and adopt sustainable lifestyle changes. He is the author of several books written for individuals struggling with disordered eating habits, shedding light on fundamental—and often overlooked—issues surrounding dietary behavior. His work as an author has earned him recognition as an Amazon best seller.
He completed his undergraduate education at The University of Texas and earned his medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Snow completed his general surgery residency at Dallas Fort Worth Medical Center, where he followed a specialized track in endoscopy and advanced endoscopic therapy. He has performed thousands of bariatric and endoscopic procedures and received advanced training from world leaders in the field. As a pioneer in bariatric endoscopy in the U.S., Dr. Snow is a respected lecturer and trainer. He has served on the faculty of bariatric endoscopy programs and continues to mentor physicians in endobariatric procedures, contributing to the evolution of training methods.
Dr. Snow believes that meaningful, long-term outcomes require personalized and focused aftercare. He emphasizes the importance of building a strong relationship between the physician, support team, and patient—one that enables lasting lifestyle changes, improved health outcomes, and a better overall quality of life. Outside of medicine, Dr. Snow is an advanced diver with extensive experience in shark feeding, underwater photography, and marine conservation. He has traveled the globe capturing the beauty of the ocean and enjoys spending time with his wife and family, many of whom are also experienced divers. Still, his favorite days are those spent simply relaxing with his beautiful wife.
