Dr. Lindsey Merritt, a board-certified gastroenterologist with Borland Groover who specializes in bariatric endoscopy, is dedicated to assisting patients in reaching their weight loss objectives. Specializing as an advanced endoscopist, she concentrates on primary and revisional endoscopic weight loss procedures, alongside nutrition and weight management. Advocating for an integrative approach to weight loss and gastrointestinal health, Dr. Merritt underscores the significance of nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices for overall wellness. Her contributions to endoscopy research have been notable, leveraging her expertise to advance understanding and enhance patient outcomes.
Having earned her medical degree from A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona, Dr. Merritt completed her Internship and Residency at Columbia College of Physicians & Surgeons’ Stamford Hospital in Connecticut. She pursued further training with a Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of New England’s Kent Hospital in Rhode Island, followed by an additional fellowship in Advanced Endoscopy at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama. Dr. Merritt possesses extensive experience in state-of-the-art, advanced endoscopic procedures, particularly in the realm of endoscopic bariatric interventions.
Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Merritt embraces her roles as a wife and mother to a young son and daughter. During her leisure time, she cherishes moments with her family, explores culinary delights, travels to new destinations, and engages in outdoor activities to stay active.
