Jessica Doyle

Communications & PR Lead

Jessica Doyle is a communications expert and former journalist, who leads Bariendo’s brand marketing and public relations efforts.

Doyle joined Bariendo as an advisor in 2023 to help craft its brand vision and build a communications strategy rooted in science and empathy for weight loss patients. In addition to working with Bariendo, she also provides fractional Chief Communications Officer services to companies ranging from Fortune 500 luminaries to emerging businesses headed by industry pioneers. She has helped founders such as Peloton’s John Foley and Tripadvisor’s Steve Kaufer launch their next acts, and developed Board-level corporate communications strategies for multinationals. Prior to Two Creeks, Doyle led communications and brand activation as Etsy’s Vice President of Global Communications and Engagement Marketing. She was responsible for amplifying the company’s brand image, cultivating its corporate culture, and helping to highlight innovator and disruptor storylines through authentic narratives. At Etsy, she transformed perceptions of the company from niche marketplace to Wall Street darling, as it scaled from a $2 billion to $36 billion market cap company, winning awards such as AdWeek’s “Marketers of the Year” and PRWeek’s “Best Place to Work.” In her role as Director of Corporate Communications for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, she led global internal and external communications for the Commercial Services division, including all top-line revenue functions. In her time there, she managed reputational challenges through two CEO departures in twelve months, strategic alternatives, bidding wars, merger announcements, and a nationwide data breach, while activating brand launches and entertainment events for SPG members.

Doyle worked for nearly 20 years as an award-winning broadcaster and journalist at such premier news outlets as The Washington Post, CNN, NBC, CBS and CNBC. Notable stories she covered included writing the first account of 9/11 for The Washington Post, interviewing presidential candidates, starting the movement for Senators and Congressmen to furlough themselves when they furloughed rank-and-file federal workers during the 2013 budget battle, and leading coverage of the 2007-08 financial crisis.

Doyle earned a degree in English Literature from the University of Chicago, graduating with distinction in only three years. She is an advisor to Their Future, Our Vote, a political action committee (PAC) that works to ensure every child has access to quality education, affordable healthcare, and a safe and healthy environment. She has also served as a public spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association.
